Greetings
Fourth Grade Parents & Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year at
Imagine Andrews! We are very excited to
be working with you and your child this year.
With a fulfilling year ahead and a lot to accomplish, we are eager to
get started. The fourth grade curriculum
covers several exciting new topics and is filled with many challenging
educational experiences. We are
passionate about learning and feel students learn best when their academic
tasks are relevant and useful. We will engage
your child in meaningful learning experiences and creative hands-on activities
that promote authentic learning.
Fourth grade is a transitional
school year. It is the start of the
intermediate grades that prepare students for middle school and beyond. Therefore, we have very high expectations for our fourth grade Scholars. We expect our Scholars to take initiative and
responsibility for their own learning.
This requires focus, commitment, and a positive attitude. We are confident these expectations will be
met especially with teamwork and communication.
Let’s work together to ensure our Scholars reach their maximum potential
this year!
Student academic success requires a
strong partnership between parents and teachers. As partners, we share the responsibility for
our Scholars success and want you to know that we will do our very best to
carry our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s
learning by ensuring that he/she:
1. Attends schools daily and arrives
on time prepared for the day’s learning.
2. Completes and returns all homework
assignments on time.
3. Reads daily to develop a love of
reading and to improve literacy skills.
4. Shares school experiences with you
so that you are aware of his/her school life.
5. Informs you if he/she needs
additional support in any area or subject.
6. Knows that you expect him/her to
succeed in school.
We are truly excited for this
school year and cannot wait to meet you!
Sincerely,
Michelle
