Valentine's Day

Fourth Grade will be exchanging Valentine's Day cards on Thursday, February 12th. Participating Scholars may address all cards with "To My Friend (or Classmate)" or "student's name".  Along with the card exchange, we will serve Scholars cookies, chips, and drinks. We have enough snacks from the previous donations.  Thank you. :-)

Thank you

Thank you to all parents who completed the online survey regarding the possible field trip to Terrapin Adventures. 

Also, there was a change to the distribution of 2nd quarter report cards. They will be sent home on February 11th. 

Washington, D.C. is having a Math festival on April 18th. It is free. I thought some scholars would love to attend. I will be there!:0) The following is the website where you can view the schedule, activities, and speakers. Best of all, it is FREE!

FYIs and Reminders

Report card grades were submitted Monday, January 26.  If you would like to see your child's grades,  please visit SchoolMax. Report cards are scheduled to be released Thursday, February 5th.


The Baltimore Aquarium field trip is this Thursday, February 5th. Please be sure your child arrives to school on time.  If your child is not attending the field trip and plan to attend school, please let us know. 

Now that all Winter assessment testing is complete, STAR Reading and Math reports will be sent home this week.  Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) Lexile scores (Fall & Winter) will be handwritten on the STAR Reading report.  

According to the STEM Fair project timeline, the Procedures and Data Collection components are due tomorrow, February 2.  Also, to stay on schedule, STEM Fair project investigations should begin this week. 

Instead of the Quarterly Oral Recitation, Scholars will write a Character Education Essay.  Scholars will receive more information about this long-term assignment Monday, February 2.
