Parent volunteers

Shout outs and thanks to:
*Mr. and Mrs. Collins who helped with organizing student portfolios and working with a group of students in math.
*Mrs. Tibuni who decorated my door for Red Ribbon Week! My scholars loved the pigs in the window! Fabulous!
Appreciate all the time given as there is not enough time in the day to do it on my own!
Thank you for all the support!

Scholastic Orders

Scholastic Orders for October were placed. The books will be on their way soon! The new catalog for November will be in next week's Monday folder. Thank you to all those parents who ordered this month. Every scholar received a book by James Patterson even if you did not place an order (this was the promotion for the month of October). I appreciate your continued support in your child's LOVE of reading, even though I teach math and science. I still love to read and fill my library with all the books scholars love. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Please help our school by entering everyday from now until March in this playground makeover sweepstakes for our school. Pass along to family, friends, colleagues, whoever you can to increase our chances. Thank you for your time and assistance with this. You never know who will win!:0)

Important Updates

Dear Parents,
Some of you may have received correspondence from the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in which they use my name in the text. They lead you to believe that I have recommended your child for the program and that I released your names and addresses to them. I would never release any information without your written consent. It might be an organization of merit but because their leadership did this I want you to be sure you know that I am not endorsing them. Participation is at your discretion.

Fundraiser Night
Imagine Andrews first fundraiser night is at Chick-fil-a tomorrow night from 6-8pm. Please join us to help support our school and don't forget your flyer. You need this in order for our school to earn the proceeds. Thank you:0)
Thinkcentral.com
Just a friendly reminder that you can access your child's scores, play games, have access to the student edition workbook all through thinkcentral.com.
Username: child's first initial and last name

Progress Reports
Progress reports were sent home TODAY. Please check your child's book bag. Remember progress reports are about 2 weeks old when you receive them. The best up to date grades for your child is Schoolmax.
Scholastic
Mrs. Nauman's homeroom will be placing the next Scholastic Book orders on October 16th! If you would like to place an order just go to scholastic.com. My class code is JKKPC. Thank you in advance for all your support.
Parent Volunteers
Parent volunteers are always welcome. If anyone is available this week or next, please email me. I have some copying and filing that could be of assistance. As a teacher, papers pass through our hands 100 times a day.
Special Shout Out to Mrs. Higdon who helped with my first Science experiment "Making Oobleck" with both of my classes. It was exciting and messy!
Also, to Ms. Backus and Mrs. Tibuni who volunteered attending the Andrews Air Show field trip.
We would like to thank all parents for your continued support in your child's education and we look forward to working with you this year.
