First In Math

Scholars were given their username and passwords to access the First in Math program. This is a math game they can access at home. We will also be playing it in class. There are different skill sets and scholars can earn points. They can be "the player of the day" by earning the most points. This program will be explained in more depth at Back to School Night. Thank you for continuing to support your child in their education.

Student Blogging Challenge....Just Bring It!

We are very excited to be participating in the Student Blogging Challenge hosted by Edublogs. The first challenge was to introduce ourselves to the online world and the many people we will communicate with.

About Our School
We are fourth grade scholars from Imagine Andrews PCS in Maryland.  Our school mascot is an Eagle.  We love our school.  Our teachers teach us that if we believe in ourselves anything is possible.  We show school pride by helping each other learn, behaving with good character, and having fun.  We say our school motto every day to remind ourselves to never give up and to always do our best.

About Our Class
This year as scientists we will learn about meteorology, the human body, atoms, and matter.  As historians we will study mountain ranges and learn about the Middle Ages, Chinese Dynasties, and African Kingdoms.  Also, we will learn about our state and the American Revolution.

Check our Tagxedos made with our first names! :-)

WELCOME BACK!

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year. We are very excited to have you and your children as part of the Fourth Grade Scholars. We have worked very hard to prepare for the return of our wonderful students. We have set very high expectations and made plans to guarantee that every fourth grade student will be successful this school year.

Student academic success is the main goal of every staff member at IAPCS. We believe that every student will learn to the highest level and we are prepared to offer more time and support to every student that needs it. We ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day prepared, encouraging your child to read at least 30 minutes and practice math facts every evening, monitoring your child’s homework, and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day.

In hopes of keeping you well informed, our Back-to-School Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 26.  If you wish to contact us with any questions or concerns, the best option is to e-mail.  However, if you wish to schedule a conference, please request an appointment via phone or e-mail.
